Last year we had a small group of 'Schussers that ventured out for hikes. Some of us hiked a lot with members of other clubs and with the AMC.

Mt. Monroe

Gem Pool

July 27, 2002: This was a brisk hike up to Monroe via the Ammonoosuc trail. Here's a bunch of people from the Randolphs & a 'Schusser at Gem Pool. It was hot & muggy on the way up but chilly and rainy at the top. We dropped in to the Lakes of the Clouds hut for lunch (packed in) and a hot beverage.

Tuckerman Ravine

Tuckerman Ravine Floor

July 5, 2002: Summer Club Independence Day weekend included a hike from Pinkham Notch visitor center to Tuckerman Ravine. While it was a nice hot day in the valley, Tuckerman gave us 47 degrees, thick cloud cover, wind and rain. Typical.

Zealand Falls

Zealand Hike

Columbus Day weekend, 2002: Zealand falls hike via Zealand road. Three hikers from the 'Schussers. An overcast, chilly day, but great for hiking. No bugs and the falls were beautiful.

Zealand Falls

Zealand Hike

September, 1 2002: Another Zealand hike to the AMC hut with members of the Ski Wheelers club.

Arethusa Falls

Arethusa Falls

April 27, 2003: A nice spring jaunt up to the falls. A local guy told us he hasn't seen the falls look this good in years. No bugs in April, but snow and ice abound. We took the Bemis Brook path on the way in - enchanting at all times!

Webster-Jackson Loop

Webster-Jackson Hike

July, 31 2002: Massa-Schussers turn out in force to hike the Webster-Jackson Loop. Views were spectacular and we saw a Gray Jay (bird) at the top.
